I was looking for a shot of the rolling hills in this region of Tuscany when the sun started peeking through an otherwise dark and cloud covered sky. The clouds were moving fast so I watched and waited for an opportunity to get just the right lighting. A patch of sun lit up the foreground hills and red hut while the background remained dark providing this beautiful chiaroscuro effect.
