It was late afternoon and I was exploring an old neighborhood on the French Riviera. I made use of the warm light and narrowed in on this wonderful combination of a gas light lamp, old shutters and flowers against the yellow stucco wall. I accentuated the painterly feel of this scene with my choice of angle, perspective and making use of the shadows as a visual lead-in.
