This stormy day at the Grand Canyon provided a photographic two edged sword: putting up with lousy weather versus hopes of a break in the grayness for a dramatic moment. It was worth slogging through the mud on my 14 mile trek this day. For just a moment the sun broke through the misty gray sky illuminating the dappling of clouds and sunlight within the “layers” of the canyon.
